The gameplay is similar to the other Anno games in which the player can colonize the island, plan his settlements, create factories and meet his citizen’s need to make a diplomatic relationship with his AI players. The game introduces lots of new features such as a new Quest system, Achievements, Housing Levels, Civilization Class Ratios, and unique goods that make the game more exciting and enjoyable.
According to the gameplay, the player can use his resources to create different kinds of buildings, such as House, Markets, and School, to makes his civilians happy. After the progress, the player gains access to naval vessels and troops that allow the player to defeat the other players.
