It retains several gameplay features from the previous installments, including the Picture-in-Picture Window, a small interface that enables the player to control the fun-filled activities, such as building and unit construction.

Besides several campaigns and individual scenarios, the game has a skirmish mode where the player can go against AI-controlled characters. The multiplayer mode pits the player against friends or online players and tasks them to earn as many points as possible.
