Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers is an Action-Adventure, Single-player and Multiplayer video game developed by Square Enix for Nintendo Wii. The game offers an exciting gameplay with a blend of RPG and Adventure gameplay elements. Unlike its previous titles, the game comes with real-time combat, centering on free-roaming and action-adventure aspects found in a Single-player. Both civilians and enemies have their unique emotions or status effects that will display via symbols hanging over their heads.
The game takes place approximately one thousand years after the event that took place in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, focusing on four powerful races that were competing against each other for an unknown reason. The main playable character is Layle, a mercenary who serves as one of four bearers. The player navigates the world from a third-person perspective to complete challenging quests offered by the game. Like a hero, the player has to help Yorda escape and find out her mother, who is a queen that resides in a beautiful castle and struggling to extend her life using the life of her daughter. During the game, the player navigates the environment from a third-person perspective and uses his abilities to overcome all hurdles and challenges. The game rewards the player with points that he can use to unlock other equipment and boost his skills.
