The story of the game set in the early 20th century where the player controls a forest ranger who must protect the local wildlife from a group of evil poachers who are driving the animals to extinction. The player begins the game by choosing from one of four different forest ranger, each with different attacks, weapons and health. After selecting the player, he is able to freely move in the game world, use given items and defeat all the enemy creatures in order to save animals. During the play, wild animals also help the player to defeat enemies. There are seven regular stages in the game and a bonus stage for a total of eight stages. In each stage, the player must eliminate a certain amount of enemies and a boss to progress on the advanced level. Different locations, six type of enemy characters, animal helpers, four variants of the games and replayability these are prominent features of the game. Growl offers superb game setting, simple controls and beautiful visual details.
