The storyline begins in 1999 when a girl wakes up beneath the ruins within a lonely world. The female character wishes to escape the ruin to come out and see the beautiful. To fulfill her wish, you have to command a firefly through the ruins who guide the female character till the end of the journey.

Along the journey, she finds several machines, bodies of dead children, and more. There are several levels available, and each one requires you to complete objectives for in-game points. During the gameplay, the player can switch between two worlds to clear all stages. As the game proceeds, the player gathers memory fragments that unravel the past of Mion. With superb mechanics, prominent features, and intelligent controls, htoLNiQ: The Firefly Diary is an awesome game to play.
