At the start, the game proposes four different characters that require the player to choose one of them to proceed further. Each has of them contains different skills, abilities, and weapons to use. During the gameplay, the player is capable of acting as the protagonist, a monster-hunter blending spell and ranged melee-driven attacks called Edges.

The game enables the player to team up with up to four other players and complete several missions and quests. Throughout the game, the player needs to fight off massive waves of monsters and enemies to main his health meter and put all his efforts into completing all challenging tasks at any cost.

The player must gather numerous weapons, including shotguns and machine guns, dropped in some random places. These weapons contain a finite amount of ammo and are usable until their ammo runs out.
