MidiTransposer

MidiTransposer is a VST audio plugin that converts a monophonic audio track into a polyphonic one, transposing instruments and vocals. It’s designed to work with most software synthesizers, samplers, and other VST audio plugins that do not have built-in MIDI transposition capabilities. Basically, it allows any audio player and sequencer with MIDI output capability to act as a hardware MIDI keyboard controller. You can even use it to play drum patterns and other types of sounds.

Its main concept consists of using the sidechain input of your DAW to extract the root note of every incoming note, then transpose it to the desired pitch and process it with an internal or external signal. It provides a large library of backing tracks with bass and drums tabs; it helps you to learn the instrument by following its interface and changing the parameters. It can be an essential tool if you have a keyboard or other MIDI instrument that is not easily transposable, and you need to change the key of a tune.
