According to the storyline, the story focuses on the Cold War, where the U.S. military made a new superhuman formula named Formula X. Unfortunately, the experiment has gone wrong, and the army sent to abandon the underground bunker and the laboratory. After some time, a series of disappearance occurred, and the corporations contacted the government.
You get selected by the government to investigate the matter, and a chopper drops you out at the location, intending to start the investigation about the mystery of Mutants.
