Netflix Profanity Filter is an extension for internet browsers that filters out the abusive or profane words from a video’s subtitles. The extension is specifically made for Netflix. You can use this on your children’s PC or while watching a movie with your family. Both text and voice can be censored. It will filter out all the abusive words by putting an asterisk symbol. It filters out the voice by muting it or making a beep during that word.
You have to input the words you want to filter on the profanity list or copy-paste the already provided words in the extension. It can automatically remove the words but that would not be precise. The response time has to be selected in milliseconds to determine the interval after which the processor will read the subtitles and filter out the words in advance. Less interval will consume more processing power which is not recommended as it will make the video laggy and choppy.
