Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage takes place in the 3D environment, where the player controls a dragon from a third-person viewpoint. The game features only Single-player mode, and it is available to play on the PlayStation platform only. Insomniac Games release the game on 2 November 1999, which is fully loaded with fun-filled gameplay. Put yourself in controlling Spyro the Dragon and guides him to battle against enemies and challenging obstacles using his unique power of flaming breath.

The game indicates the health power of the player using the color of the dragonfly partner, who may replenish his health by having butterflies. There are different playable stages available, and each one requires the completion of objectives. The game rewards you with points for each completed stage. Run, jump, and attack your way to advance through the storyline, while fighting enemies to become the master. Each stage comes with different background, containing a new variety of obstacles to overcome. The game increases the difficulty level gradually and lets you collect in-game currency to score the highest points.
